Art in the Netherlands, not looking good

In today's issue of NRC Handelsblad, it is reported that the Scheringa Museum collection was confiscated by AMRO, and that Louis Reijtenbagh is auctioning off his huge collection at Sotheby's in New York.

These are troubling times for the poor, the rich, the needy, the healthy and those suffering from ill health.

When in dire straits, art is often among the first items sold while art programs are often the first to be discontinued.
